Stores unchanged

through presidents,

world wars,

and prom dresses.

It is a silver daguerreotype

that must be seen

from just the right angle

to take it all in.

But no matter how far I go

or how long I’m gone,

I can always come back.

And it will always feel

like Maine Street.
